Kimberly R. Setrakov

Kimberly has an extensive legal practice, with a primary focus on commercial and civil litigation, business and corporate/commercial law, real estate and wills. Before attending law school at the University of Calgary, Kimberly completed a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and then spent several years working in the non-profit sector. Kimberly also has experience in marketing, operating a small business venture and working in the oil and gas sector.

Kimberly was called to the Alberta Bar in July of 2009 after completing her articles with a mid-sized Calgary law firm. Shortly thereafter, she launched Setrakov Law as an independent sole practitioner. Currently, Kimberly assists many small businesses and individuals with their day-to-day business needs, as well as with specific legal issues. Kimberly is also experienced in the courtroom and has successfully negotiated multiple settlements.

In addition to her legal practice Kimberly is an active volunteer with Inn from the Cold, Calgary Legal Guidance and Student Legal Assistance. She is married, has a rambunctious Rottweiler-Bull Mastiff named Daisy, and recently welcomed a son. On weekends, Kimberly can be found outside running, hiking and camping with her family.
